A new sketch!

Soem of you may know that my sweet pup Ryleigh passed on May 3rd, 2011.  I really missed him last night, so I decided to sketch a quick drawing of him.  Here's the result...

LACMA presents Tim Burton!

For those of you that don't know, I love Tim Burton's work.  He is an amazingly imaginative artist and creator.  His work is absolutely brilliant!

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is currently hosting a Tim Burton Exhibit, through October 2011 I believe.  Brek (my beau) & I had the opportunity to go last weekend to celebrate our 7th anniversary.

Admission:  $20

We weren't allowed to take photos inside the exhibit, but I did prepare a short (very short...) slide show of the photos we were able to take.  However, I can't get it to upload for some reason...Grrr...  I'm posting the photos below instead.

You may remember...

I participated in the Sketchbook Project last year...  A quick recap, for those of you that don't remember...

1.  You sign up and receive a blank sketchbook in the mail.
2.  You pick a sketchbook theme, or have the one picked at random for you.
3.  You have so many months to complete your sketchbook.
4.  You send your completed sketchbook back.
5.  Your sketchbook goes on a tour around the country.
6.  Your sketchbook reaches it's home at the NYC Art House Co-op Library.

The good people are the NYC Art House Co-op Library offer a scanning service, once the sketchbooks are no longer on tour.  I received an e-mail last night letting me know that my sketchbook had been scanned and is available for online viewing.  I just wanted to share the link, and I will be posting the actual scanned images shortly, for your viewing pleasure.
